My mother-in-law informed me at my wedding reception (after becoming extremely excited upon recieving an ironing board and iron) that "iron" was a four letter word to her and she wouldn't tolerate hearing it in her presence :)

When I don't have time to iron, I hang up the clothes , place the hanger on the hook on the back of the bathroom door and take a steaming hot shower. The steam usually convinces the wrinkles to depart. This is my husbands favorite trick to use on his dress uniform when he hasn't hung it up properly. Also when ironing his BDU's instead of using spray starch on them, I mix cornstarch and water into a slurry and drizzle it on the INSIDE of his uniform and iron to dry and press. The starch dries and brushes out and the creases are sharp enough to cut bread! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20607637.post-1137607443864829002006-01-18T10:04:00.000-08:002006-01-18T10:04:00.000-08:00P.S.
