Dishwasher Detergent for Socks? I Kid You Not...Whiter Socks

It's true! Dishwasher detergent (for electric dishwashers) in liquid form is a powerful stain remover, especially for socks. Use only on white socks, as it has some serious bleaching action too. More whitening laundry tips at: http://www.kitchencraftsnmore.net/whitensocks.html

OR you could just wash them with laundry detergent and chlorine bleach like other humans who have access to these things do?

The reason your white socks come up white in the dishwasher with electric dishwashing liquid, gel or powder is because it contains chlorine bleach. Duh?

Can't this be a little expensive? I mean socks can be whiter with bleach as suggested above. However, this is really a great discovery :> Will try this once I ran out of laundry detergent and I have to wash my socks; now I know my options. Thanks!
