Q-tips are handy little cleaners for around the house. Here are 5 ways to use Q-tips to clean things OTHER than your ears:
- Clean jewelry - those little grooves and edges can be a nightmare to clean! Use some jewelry cleaning solution and a Q-tip swab to clean out even the tightest areas of your favorite jewellery.
- Clean around the edges of sinks - Ewwww...looked at that edging around your sinks lately? It's gunkville! A soft Q-tip dislodges the dirt, and then a clean cloth will just wipe it all away.
- Clean between keyboard keys - Another disgusting area for dirt, grime and certainly germs to gather. Use a Q-tip to get to hard to reach areas of your keyboard. The tapered end type of cotton swabs would be especially useful to get into those really tricky spots.
- Use Q-tips to polish silver. No, not Grandma's old and overly large platter! Those little areas on tiny trinkets that are otherwise hard to reach will do very well with a bit of polish smeared on a Q-tip. And yes, I think this might be the first time ever on this blog that I've ever mentioned polishing silver. (I'm not a polishing silver type, you might say. Oh, or an owning silver type either.)
- Use Q-tips to clean up oopsies with nail polish. This is more a cleaning up YOU tip than a cleaning your home tip. When applying nail polish, it's so frustrating when you get that gorgeous bright red smeared messily beyond your nail. A cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover is a quick and easy solution for this messy situation.

I use them for the Keyboard but the sink idea is a good one. That's always disgusting around the edge, I shall give that a go!
I use q-tips to remove my eyeliner and mascara along with my makeup remover solution :)

Qtips are great for detailing crevices in your car! I like to take a qtip and dip it in a little armor all for detailing around the radio knobs and buttons as well as the vents. It works great to polish up those tight crevices and remove dust the vacuum might have missed.

Yes- Q-tips (also have used toothpicks) to get that extra hard to reach gunk around the edge of the stove- and love q-tips to "squeeze" in between some parts while cleaning the bases of my lamps.

Sometimes cleaning just requires you to get into some tight places, and Q-tips really do the trick. I never thought of using a simple Q-tip for something like these small jobs. What a great way to deep clean the small details! Thanks for the tips!
over the years ive also found that Qtips are good for cleaning
lasers on dvd players, bluray players etc while it may not be reccomended ive always used this method.

I use my q tip to clean the interior of my A.C. system, when I apply cuticle remover on my nails. I use qtips to clean any small cracks pretty much lol. Great tips.

Yes, Q-tips~ they're great when oiling furniture (the fancy kind with carvings and scrolls). Safely lifts dust without scratching, and just follow with your soft oil cloth. Thanks for your ideas.
I dip them in alcohol for a cleaning boost.
I use them all the time when i am cleaning my keyboard and also, if we end up detailing a care i will end up using many qtips.
