So, slobbos...what type of vacuum do you prefer?
I personally love bagless vacuum cleaners, and that's what I have. I love the ease of just emptying out the dust and dirt when I'm done, as opposed to struggling with bags.
What kind of vacuum do you have at home?
And if you're a cleaning pro, what kind of vacuum do you use at work?
Inquiring minds want to know!

We have a bagless Bissel with a hepa
filter and a bagless shark stick vacuum.
I use my Oreck bagged vacuum. Fantastic.
Liked your post and Dyson is such a good product.
Love the Dyson.. thanks for you post. I have a small cleaning business here in St. Louis. Got to have good quality equipment.
I've had most success with using Dysons latest Animal range. Even though they're designed for people with pets, the "sucking power" is far superior to anything else on the market.
I think bagged vacuums are better, espcially for allergy sufferers. When you're emptying a bagless canister, dust/pollen/dander can get released back into the air. Hypoallergenic bagged vacuum cleaners usually have two bags to prevent that.
i colect vacuums and have almost nothing but bagged vacuums... i know its sad and but i do have a 1986 rainbow and a shark navigator which are both baggless they are both GREAT vacs
I bought a $550 Dyson last August an animal DC 28 (I think) its suction is outstanding.... For about a month.
In October the brushed bar broke and would not spin, after much troubleshooting with the support staff I was sent a new brushed bar. It worked great until November then the Heppa filter wouldn't stay seated, it kept popping out again the support staff They're awesome by the way I was sent a new filter and all was well with the world again.
Fast forward to January 2012 again the brushed bar assembly motor broke, once again a new one was sent....
March 2012 once again with the dang brushed bar motor and I gave up!
I drove to Wal Mart and bought the cheapest bag less they had a Bissel Helix to use while I waited for my replacement parts from Dyson and let me tell you the Bissell Helix is the best vacuum I've ever owned.
Who knew a $45 Bissel would out suction a Dyson!!
Long story short, my replacement came in from Dyson and it's sitting on the shelf and I'm happy as a clam using my Bissel.
I bought a new shop vac for the house and it works great. No bag, shake out the dust from the canister and it's ready to go again. To vacuum carpets, I bought a beater brush head from a central vacuum shop and it fits on the shop vac perfectly. With shop vac you can chose to use just the paper filter, or add on the foam filter too. I bought 2 paper filters and install one while I wash and air dry the most recently used filter. They last forever if you clean them regularly.
I have a shop vac with a beater bar head from a central vac system. It works great. The shop vac is cheap, has a powerful motor, and no bags to buy--just clean out the canister and dust off the paper filter and you are good to go again.
