Cleaning up after pets...
We adore our pets, but cleaning up after them isn't always such a wonderful thing! When I had first started the Happy Slob newsletter, Carol wrote in with a heartwrenching request for help. Her sick dog was peeing on the floors, and the situation was getting pretty bad. Look at all the Helpful Hints and Suggestions Happy Slob readers sent in to her...

Straight vodka works wonders in removing cat vomit from carpets and upholstery. This suggestion came in an e-mail outlining several non-drinking suggestions for vodka. I had the occasion to use it this past weekend.... it really worked. Alcohol(in general) is antiseptic and vodka is odorless (almost) and colorless. I used it several months ago to remove a stain from my couch... it was the perfect solution.
I also used straight vodka to clean white paint off my son's black leather jacket. Worked great.
